Act V — The VesselSection 42 of 74
Concealment Is Not Absence
This phrase may be the hermeneutical centre of the entire Chavah Kadmonah project:
Concealment is not absence.
Applied to Malchus, it becomes a powerful key.
The new moon is concealed.
Not absent.
The Shechinah in galus is concealed.
Not absent.
Davidic kingship is concealed from political manifestation.
Not erased from covenantal memory.
Hashem’s Name is concealed in Esther.
The story remains governed.
A seed is concealed in earth.
Life has not ceased.
A child is concealed in the womb.
Becoming has not ceased.
A future insight can be concealed inside confusion.
Truth has not ceased.
Again, this does not permit magical thinking. Concealed possibilities are not guarantees of whatever outcome we desire.
The principle is more disciplined.
Visible absence does not exhaust ontology.
Reality can be present in modes not yet revealed.
Malchus is trained to live with this because she is the Sefirah of manifestation.
She knows the difference between “not revealed” and “not real”.
That distinction is emunah.
